Credit Card

Can I use another person's credit card if I have their permission?

No, at the time of rental, the renter is required to present a valid driver's license and credit card with his / her name on it.

Will my credit card be charged when I make the reservation?

No, your credit card will not be charged when you make a reservation. You may cancel your reservation up to 24 hours prior to your pick up time without penalty.

What credit cards do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners, Discover and Japan Carte Blanche credit cards. At this time we cannot accept any pre paid credit cards. At the conclusion of the rental we accept debit cards or cash as payment.

Deposit

Your credit card will be authorized for the estimated amount of the rental plus $300.00 at the time of rental. For rentals 7 days or longer, a deposit for the estimated amount of the rental plus $300.00 will be processed

Return Vehicle After Hours?

Yes, all the rental locations will have an overnight drop box. The location staff will review the overnight drop off procedure with you at the time of rental. Please note that you are responsible for all and any damages to vehicles returned after office hours.

Age?

The minimum age is 19. For renters and/or additional drivers under 25 years of age there will be an Underage Driver fee of $25.00 per day. Renters and/or drivers under 25 years of age are not eligible to rent 4x4, premium, luxury, specialty or convertible vehicles.

I need?

All renters must present a valid major credit card, a valid driver's licence and a second piece of government issued identification. At this time we cannot accept pre paid credit cards.

Learner's Driver License

We do not accept a learner's license.

Another Driver?

Yes. As the renter you must present a valid driver's licence and credit card. You can add up to 2 additional drivers. All additional drivers must be at least 19 years of age and must present a valid driver's licence and a major credit card in their name. The charge for additional drivers is $10.00 per day per driver. Surcharges will apply to additional drivers who are under age 25.

Vehicle Delivery

We offer pick up service at select locations. We are not able to deliver the vehicle to you.

Fuel Policy

You are responsible for refuelling the rental vehicle, but you don’t have to fill the vehicle yourself. We have a service that will save you time and look after that for you. You pay a flat fee (based on the estimated distance you will travel) and then just bring the car back with whatever fuel is left and we look after it for you.

You still have the option to refuel the vehicle yourself. If you choose to do so we request you bring in the receipt to confirm that the vehicle was filled within 5 kilometres of the rental location and then we remove the refuelling service fee.

Travelling Out of Province

Unless otherwise noted on the rental agreement, the rented vehicle is only authorized for travel within British Columbia. For travel outside of British Columbia, surcharges and/or kilometer charges may apply. For more details, please contact our Reservation Center at 888-368-7368. Traveling to Mexico and Alaska is not permitted.

Toll

Golden Ears Bridge & Port Mann Bridges are cashless toll bridges. Drivers on these roads are not able to pay cash once they have entered these roads and tolls charges are automatically charged to us by the toll bridge. Our system then adds the toll charges and small admin fee to your rental. This can occur during or after your rental.

DO NOT PAY THE TREO TOLLING SYSTEM AS WE ARE UNABLE TO OBTAIN ANY INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR PAYMENT.

Loyalty Points?

Yes, Budget is a proud sponsor of the Air Miles and Aeroplan redemption programs. Air Miles and Aeroplan Collectors can earn reward miles for every rental. Members of both redemption programs need to decide at the beginning of the rental which program they wish to collect on for that rental.

Earnings terms and conditions:
1. Reward miles are awarded on net time and kilometer/mileage charges only. Reward miles will not be awarded on taxes, surcharges, optional items (such as LDW) and refueling.
2. Select corporate account rentals do not qualify for reward miles.
3. Your Collector Card must be presented at the time of rental.
4. All consecutive rental days in a given city, including renewal of the contract, are deemed to be one rental
